So, was it the right call?

Skipping the Emmys didn’t cost Taylor Swift a thing. If anything, it did what a thousand couture moments could not: it made her look like a person. A wife in the stands. A daughter-in-law sharing a suite. Someone who decided that watching her husband’s first game of the season mattered more than a trophy she had already effectively lost at the Creative Arts ceremony weeks earlier.

The gowns will come back around. There is always another red carpet. There is only one first season as a married couple.
